I have started a book on "Animals: Myths and Fact" - it was written in the 1940's. It starts out with "What would happen if you had two different species of animals fight each other... it goes on to describe a grizzly bear versus a lion etc etc. Very amusing. Certainly you would not find that in a modern book on animals.
Pretty much the grizzly beats up on everything in the "animal kingdom". I picked up the book because I am starting to look into redefining my "ani-morphs" that I created for the D20 system. I want to incorporate it into a Native American campaign for the D20 Modern system. I wonder if anyone would be interested in it? Its another spin on the old west.... I really think there should be more books on rpg's in the 19th century setting - from Flashman takes on Victorian England, Afganistan and India, to Meiji Japan, to the Old West, to Civil War in the US, etc etc you get the picture... its very colorful and as action packed as any Musketeer / Dumas setting or high fantasy setting. Magic - of a limited sort - could easily be thrown in (therefore the ani - morphs).
