Youngest of 5 in a Roman Catholic Midwest family. We moved in the mid 70's due to snow and my father's mid-life crisis to (eventually) Texas where I met my husband at a video game parlor (1981). He asked me if I liked Monty Python and Roleplaying Games - I enthusiastically said Yes! He was bound and determined to marry me after that - which we did in New Mexico. We moved to Austin in 1984 where we mostly stayed (except for a year in the Bay Area of California). We have 4 kids - 2 are now in college, 1 in high school, and 1 in junior high. I loved Austin. I loved working at UT - but like many was driven by a need for better insurance. So I left and have missed the family that was UT Staffers. I work in Accounting. I love numbers and my recent excursions into XHTML have been a joy - its like solving Logic Problems. Right now I make my money as a Collector - it has its good points and bad. I am good at what I do, I like working with people to resolve problems. I am under quite a bit of stress since I am the only money-earner in my house. I have had more than my share of operations and hospital stays these past 4 years due to various conditions. Hospitals suck. And I find the health care industry to be mostly stuck in the Stone Age of guesswork and hoopla (known as more lab work- ugh). But I am still here- In Connecticut now. I hope to live in the NorthWest or in Vermont one day.
